On Saturday, June 17, 2006,  the Second Annual Leona Heritage Park Fundraiser  "Gala Under The Stars"  was held at the Leona Valley Community Center.  It was a perfect summer evening and well  attended.    Three wineries were present to serve up their fine wines for tasting.   In addition, a tasty buffet was served and the crowd was entertained all evening by live music, under the stars,  in beautiful Leona Valley.

This event fundraiser is held by the  Leona Valley Sertoma Club for the new building that is to be part of the Leona Heritage Park.  The park will consist of the new building, which will be used to display and store artifacts from Leona Valley’s past, and The Old Leona Valley Schoolhouse which the West Antelope Valley Historical Society is renovating. The park is located on the northwest corner of the LVIA property on Elizabeth Lake Road and will be overseen by the West Antelope Valley Historical Society when completed.
